Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) at the University of Otago, Wellington
Completion of doctoral (PhD) study indicates that a student has
undertaken a piece of original research at a level which develops
the chosen discipline and contributes new knowledge to society.
In doing so the student develops as an independent researcher

and central government agencies. We also have the intellectual
stimulation of a network of tertiary teaching and research institutions
including universities, Crown and private research institutes
and polytechnics. Therefore we are able to offer a truly diverse
