Psychological Medicine :: Research

The Department of Psychological Medicine has three main research streams encompassing a range of research interests and activities:

Psychiatric Disorders

This stream includes the epidemiological work of Dr Kate Scott in connection to Te Rau Hinengaro, The New Zealand Mental Health Survey, part of the WHO World Mental Health Surveys; studies on schizophrenia and sleep disorders;

Interventions

Research activity here ranges from psychopharmacological to cognitive-behavioural therapies and includes work with consumers and government agencies;

Education

The foci of these projects include undergraduate and postgraduate medical, supervision, and workforce issues.
