The Rehabilitation Teaching and Research Unit (RTRU)
is a specialised academic unit that is part of the Department
of Medicine at the University of Otago, Wellington. We believe
that good rehabilitation is inter-disciplinary rehabilitation
and our staff composition reflects this.
The staff of the RTRU include rehabilitation physician/rheumatologists,
geriatrician, occupational health physician, physiotherapists,
occupational therapist, clinical psychologists, and a programme
administrator.
Our two primary roles are teaching and research - i.e. teaching
rehabilitation and researching rehabilitation.
