The Rehabilitation Teaching and Research
Unit (RTRU) is a specialised academic unit that is part
of the Department of Medicine at the University of Otago, Wellington.
We believe that good rehabilitation is inter-disciplinary rehabilitation
and our staff composition reflects this.
The staff of the RTRU include a rehabilitation physician/rheumatologist,
a geriatrician, an occupational health physician, four physiotherapists,
a family therapist, a neuropsychologist and our programme administrator.
Our two primary roles are teaching and research - i.e. teaching
rehabilitation and researching rehabilitation.
